TabTrade Overview - The Good and the Catch
Tab Trade — What It Is
TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.
That last detail tells you something. It means the founder has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities institutional desks use. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something this new, the breadth is broad.
Platforms
You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Getting both matters. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is available for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be in the works. That would make the platform set once it is live.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can be under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade does not.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you run serious volume.
How Fast Are the Fills
This is the area where this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the setup is serious. That signals something about priorities.
Combine those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering is strong. Few brokers with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.
Regulation
This is the part that requires honesty. TabTrade is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, stop reading. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. That does not make it safe. But inform your assessment.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade runs a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard welcome offer. You deposit, the broker top up your balance. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before you deposit.
