TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account
The Broker - What It Is
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.
That last detail matters. It suggests the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. Still more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: forex, indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For something that launched in March 2026, the breadth is not narrow.
The Software
They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders prefer it after comparing.
FIX API is available for bots but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently in the works. That will be a good addition once it is live.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Suits beginners.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade does not.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
The speed is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the setup is serious. That signals what kind of broker this is.
Pair that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
This is the thing that requires honesty. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
That said. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not bother with Equinix connectivity. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does be part of your decision.
The deal: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether this deal works depends on you.
Welcome Offer
Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Usual sign-up bonus. You put money in, the broker top up your balance. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before you commit.
